State of the Union

Another year has gone by and its time for President bush's State of the Union address. First off i want to say what a complete waste of time this yearly obligation has become. No matter how bad things are or good they are, the President always says the "State of the union is Good". I don't know what planet they are living on sometimes but is the state of our country that good? Im not saying we are bad off or worse than other nations but give me a break. We are involved in a civil war that has no end in sight and we have soldiers dying daily for an unjust and illegal war. The economy is starting to slow down has the Bush economic policies are starting to effect us. We have a continual threat of terrorism that hangs over out heads, mainly for the use of our government to keep us scared so we will support the war and their policies. Socially drugs, racism, the poor, and our poor education system are still issues that are not adressed and are getting worse every year. So if the state of our union is so good, I would hate what be considered bad.

Good statement. the analysis is never real!

I agree. It would seem that the past few addresses have been more focused on boosting a false sense of patriotism and security to make people feel guilty for doubting the president and his administration. The only subject that has been discussed consistently is Iraq, however, these discussions have lead to no revelations or solutions.

I totally agree with you it seems like for every one of our soilders that die Bush sends out another 25 hundred to replace them, and all the while our economic system is felling.
